Murphys Law #241 - Second place is the first loser.
Yet, I've never been more proud of Colt who finished in FIFTH place this past weekend at the Am.Sam Fit4Life 10k. He finished fifth in the 34 and under category!!! (As a side note... he beat his mother... by a lot.)
He's 10. He's slightly vertically challenged. He hasn't been training. And did I mention he's 10?
That's right. The race organizers had their youngest race category as 34 and under. Whereas the next race class was 35-39. Sigh. Only in AmSam.
Strangely, Jaime walked away with a cash prize while Colt walked away with nothing.
I still couldn't be more proud.
Oh... and he placed in the 99th percentile in most of his standardized tests this year in school... but more importantly, he finished fifth in the 10k.
'nuff bragging for now.

Four people on that island are under 34 and can run 10k faster than Colt?! I am dumbfounded as to who they could be.
palagi high school teachers.
Only in American Samoa would they make an age range of 34 and under...Oh My~ And not award the 5th place winner but inturn award maybe a 20th place winner sounds about right...hahaha! The things I definately do not miss. Way to go Colt!!
